Which is the quietest fish air pump in the world?
I need a quiet air pump for a 46 gallon fish tank. I have a tetratee AP150 and the pump is just noisy. It seems any You buy in the store are just loud. Has anyone found a quite one out there?
If i do not use an air pump the fish all go to the top of the tank. I only run it during the day because it is near my bedroom, and the noise would keep me up. My filter is a submerged on so it does not add air to the tank. I must have a in tank filter system at my landlords request

Air pumps do nothing to add air to the water. Fish breath dissolved oxygen and the only way dissolved oxygen can get into the water is by movement. Filters, powerheads, wind waves waterfalls etc.
If it buggs you that much, just get rid of it.
Tetra actually makes one that is quiet, but after about a year of running, it too begins to hum.
