it has inbuilt filter and light
this is about a 29 us gallon tank
1. yes this tank is fine
2. you could add
3 platies or 3 swordtails
but that's the absolute limit there
4. absolutely not, they will love it
5. not necessarely, depends all on which lightning you have
6. yes they will get along
7. answered in nr 2
8. no they don't
9. yes, that will be absolutely fine, and will give the tank a nice look
10. you can add salt, but it's not necessary, i personally add 1 tabespoon of aquarium salt per 5 gallon, which means 6 tablespoons in your case
every time you do a partial waterchange of 25% with a gravel siphon, you will put about 1 tablespoon of salt back into your tank, not more or you will make it a brackish tank, also remember that salt doesn't evaporate, it only gets taken out by waterchanges
11. you could if you ditch my other suggestions
12. here is an article on how to cycle
http://www.firsttankguide.net/cycle.php
also here are some documented cycling processes

Edit*
sorry just saw i made a mistake on answering nr 3, i forgot that one
it depends on the lightning, but good choices are
anubis
water wisteria
water sprite
amazon sword
and there are many more
here is a site with plants to choose from and also their requirements
http://www.plantgeek.net/plantguide.php
make sure they're aquatic plants though
