How do I tell if my 4"Berkeley submersible water well pump is burned out without pulling it from the well?
First check to see that there is power going down to the pump, check the fuse and any loose connections between the fuse and the junction box next well. If you have power going down, then you need to pull out the pump to determine the problem. One problem that I have encountered is having an earwig stuck between the electrical contacts located next to the pressure regulator that turns the pump on & off, also try cleaning the contacts with sandpaper.
