Live Aquarium Plants for my tank?
I have a 5 gallon hex aquarium which about 6 fish in it. Anyway, I have white gravel with 3 fake plants and 1 decoration in the middle. Its not over-crowded with fish or decor, but I just like live plants a little better than fake, for obvious reasons. Anyway, how hard would it be to switch, its the aquarium that comes from wal-mart it has a heater, and filter. Also, would I have to let it sit for a while after planting? also, would I be able to buy live plants at walmart, what about the bulbs, do they work. Thanks
Also, how would I plant already grown plants? Bulbs?
The walmart hex tank is made by marineland, that bulb will support several types of plants....I think its 13 watts per 5 gallons, but dont think that it will support plants that require 2 watts per gallon - it just wont 
I have crypts (lutea and wendtii), anubias (coffea and nana), Java Fern and melon swords - they all seem to do well.
Rotala indica didn't do well in mine, neither did bacopa - they are both high light plants....
You can plant them with the fish in it - just be sure to pull as much of the rock wool off them as possible when you plant - and expect to stir up the water.
