how much is a 1 foot long butterfly koi and how long can it stay in a 50 gallon tank?
You're talking any where from $16 and up, depending on where you get it and the color you want. And since they get to be about two feet long, i don't think you'd want to keep one in a tank. If you do, you'd only be able to keep that one fish in there. Rule of thumb for koi and goldfish is two gallons of water per inch of fish- a 48 inch fish really can't live in a 50 gallon tank. It can't swim and the water will turn toxic really fast. Too fast for a fish to really live in.
