I just got some java fern in the mail and there are little brown spots on the leaves.?
Will the brown spots become green again or should I cut the leaves off. Thanks!
The brown spots belong there, those are the spores... remember java ferns are just that - ferns... that's one of the ways they reproduce.
Java ferns also reporoduce by producing "daughter" plants on the ends of the leaves... these break off and float around before the hairy roots latch onto something and the plant continues growing from there.
