I have a question on adding decorations to my aquarium?
I have a 50 gallon tropical freshwater fish tank. I have 2 blood parrots, 1 pleco, 1 kenyi cichlid. I was thinking of adding a part of an artificial wooden chair. I was going to put the legs as a decorative ornament in the tank. Will it be okay to put the artificial or even real wood in the fish tank?
If not, what should I put in it that I have in my house, like toys, furniture, and etc. ? Thank you.
Good question! I would say to put a couple of cute toys that are lead-free and that do not contain any harmful chemicals (if it's possible to tell which ones are okay). I used to have goldfish, and I only put in colorful rocks in their bowl to be on the safe side. But I think it would be best to go to a pet store and or ask an animal care worker what is safe for your type of fish to put in their little "home."
